Minecraft is determined to make it easier for users to access content created by community members as well as fans.



Many users have already designed intricate worlds for exploration and adventures to enjoy or altered the game to offer new experiences.



They will be able to sell content through the game on the new Minecraft Marketplace.



Producer John Thornton told Newsbeat that the platform was created to assist entrepreneurs in starting businesses.



The people who make adventure maps skin packs for characters, or experiences to play in the game aren't allowed to sell them directly to other players.



Official Minecraft content is not sold in this manner. However, a few players still make a living playing the game.



James Delaney is the founder of Blockworks, an organization of Minecraft creators. He's been able create a business despite all the restrictions.



He is thrilled to be a part of the Marketplace.



"Hopefully it's the start of steady and steady income," he tells Newsbeat.



"In the past we've been relying on commissions to be paid but you're not certain of when that happens."



He is the responsible person for 62 creators who work in 20 countries.



Their primary source of income is from the creation of Minecraft-based content for marketing and educational purposes.



James "got really into" creating Minecraft maps with his friends online and realized some time later that it was feasible to earn a living from it.



He says, "At least now we have a sense of the audience for our content."

"If it's a success, we are confident that we can continue working on an ongoing and stable basis.



"Also it's content that we can decide to create, instead of being requested to create therefore we have creative control over it in that regards."



The marketplace will launch later this year and be available on the Windows 10 and Pocket versions of the game.



This means that the majority of Minecraft players around the world estimated at 120 million gamers, will be able to play the game. However console gamers won't.



John Thornton states, "Our goal is to work towards connecting creators and players."



"On Pocket edition it can be difficult to get content onto devices, so it's difficult for creators to show off the content they'd like to share with the world.



"By connecting creators with the marketplace it will make it easier for players to find something they like, buy it, and then download it on their devices."



People will still be able to create community experiences outside of the market, and players will be being able to access them no cost.



Producers hope that viewers will choose to pay for content that is simpler to find.



John says, "If you want people to share content right now, you should put it somewhere online and let them know where it is."



"You can make use of existing social media platforms to accomplish that, but it's way more effective if we integrate that into the game in itself.



"Players can interact with things they want in the context of the game they love."



He hopes that the game will enable James to establish an effective business.



The Minecraft team is launching the new service with nine creators from all over the globe to start.



The central Minecraft team will monitor the adventure maps, skin packs, and experiences to ensure they are appropriate for the players of the game.
