A teenager believed to be at the centre of a Minecraft gamers squabble has been arrested after an attack on a massive bomb shut down hundreds of colleges and schools across the UK.
The 19-year-old was arrested by Hertfordshire police after 24,000 threats were sent to schools informing them of a bomb attack imminently unless cash was handed over.
The emails appeared to be sent by VeltPvP the gaming network. VeltPvP is a Minecraft player-versus-player server, which is the type of server that businesses use to sell products to gamers.

The emails were intended to cause the domain to be banned for abuse . They are believed to have been sent by an organization that wanted to undermine VeltPvP.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) stated that there was no credible threat to the emails' received this week.

They said in a statement that they understood teachers and parents' concerns but stress there was no credible threat to the school's emails.

In the wake of the hoax email bombs there were signs posted outside Cardinal Road School in Feltham
Those involved in the feud said that their adversaries had engaged in illegal activities to hinder one another's businesses.
"It's awful, it's not the nicest thing', one hoaxers involved said when asked whether he regretted the effect the letters had had on the school children forced to evacuated.
Placing the blame on VeltPvP the hoaxer claimed VeltPvP was involved in a series of Direct Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks - which he claims were employed to attempt to stop other rival Minecraft servers.
Parents were asked to pick up their children following the threat of a bomb hoax email
In an announcement, VeltPvP said: 'We've been being harassed by a group of cybercriminals that are trying to intimidate us in every way they can.
"We apologize deeply for anyone who was affected by this, but we just want to let you know that it is fake."
The email was sent to more than 400 colleges and universities across the country. It claimed that the bomb was already planted and could explode if no money was given.
Cardinal Road School, Feltham, West London was one of the schools to receive the fake email
Police forces from London, Bristol, Liverpool, Bedfordshire and the the North East were among those investigating.
Parents have requested to be allowed to collect their children from school due concerns over the emails.
Six schools across Hertfordshire were also among those affected: Abbots Hill in Hemel Hempstead, Valley School in Stevenage, The Sele School in Hertford, Duncombe School in Hertford, Stanborough School in Watford and St Albans High School.
