Vanilla Wow Private Server Recomendations

So I haven't played on a WoW private server since 2016 or something (Kronos Vanilla). I used to play traditional WoW which was great fun. However, since TBC came out, the servers have been down and I've long for vanilla. Are there any private servers for vanilla that are doing well or are they all dead?



The two main servers currently are custom vanilla + and turtle wow both around 1000 pop peak



The blizzlike options for darrowshire are Kronos and Kronos. I haven’t heard of them for quite a while, however, I recently heard that they were around 300pop. Wow is life I don’t know if that’s true or not.



There's also chromiectaft. it's vanilla content on 3.3.5 (with raids being reverted to compensate) It's also at 1000 ish pop, but it will eventually move to tbc when vanilla content is finished (they're only at mc so there's still time)



Chromiecraft is the server that I didn't realize I was looking. It checks all the boxes and I just found it.



custom vanilla servers are doing well, not sure about pure vanilla.



Kronos for pure vanilla PVP (you can also play Darrowshire but the quality is way below Kronos).



Turtlewow to provide alternative vanilla PVP with PVE option.



What's the Kronos's pop? people levelling?



They are all dead on Vanilla servers right now Unfortunately, due to SOM/Classic. The only ones that are still alive are custom.



There are a variety of custom vanilia servers. I am currently playing on V+ (vanilia plus). It has some excellent class rebalancing features, as well as the ability to mob and has also changed the majority of the items.



For me , it's great because it takes all the good things from vanilia and mixes many of the songs giving it a fresh feel to it to explore the world and try to new while been familar feeling to it.



There are numerous other servers, so make sure to browse.



I'll definitely check out vanilla plus, which sounds interesting



turtle wow. has hardcore mode...ironman challenge. gives new breath to wow.



The problem with the server is that it offers custom races, for instance high elf (BE basically but ALLY sided) or goblins.



What's wrong with custom races? They're optional, but old races are still available. The team is concerned about Warcraft history, so these are not just random additions.



I'd say that Turtle WoW is my most favorite.
