Ainars Slesers nominated for prime minister in Latvia
Ainars Slesers the political organization For a Good Latvia's official candidate for the prime minister, said addressing the association's meeting today that he would defend the national interests of Latvia in talks with the International Monetary Fund and international lenders, and see to the fact that there is a greater number of Latvian products and services are exported not just to Lithuania as well as Estonia but also Germany, Scandinavia, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Ainārs Šlesers Slesers believes that Latvian exporters could also benefit from great opportunities in Uzbekistan and China, writes LETA.

Slesers hopes that That For A Good Latvia is a very popular candidate for the 10th Saeima elections and will be the candidate that decides the composition of the next cabinet. Ainars Slesers Andris Skele, who has been nominated for the Finance Minister by For A Good Latvia, said that Latvia should be able to achieve economic independence because "if we have to carry the burden of debt for many years, no national progress will be feasible."

Skele and For A Good Latvia board chairman Andrejs Ekis have offered praise to Slesers. They said that Slesers is a shining example of how one Riga boy can be successful in business, get a lot and become wealthy. Ekis described Slesers in a way that he describes as "a businessman who's wandered into political" and addedthat "I would like to see an official from Latvia that would make me feel happy."

Slesers said that the best way to fulfill a mission is to make use of your body. The current administration, led by Valdis Dombrskis (New Era), "is attempting to relax and convince the people that everything will be well." However, it is dangerous to live on credit, since the money borrowed will have to be returned at some point or another.

Slesers said also that for A Good Latvia would see that Biblical studies were introduced to all schools beginning September 1st next year.
