https://www.facebook.com/neveparitzki The Kerem Tunnel is the first bike tunnel in Israel and was officially opened in the year 2000 as part the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around the capital.

The tunnel is located along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Mostza path. Its southern entrance is located below Ein Laban in Refaim Park. The northern entrance is located in Nahal Ein Kerem.

The 2.1-kilometer long tunnel was officially opened on Thursday by Jerusalem and heritage minister Ze'ev Elkin as well as Moshe Lion, the Mayor. Moshe Lion. נווה פריצקי Avi Baleshnikov of Gihon the chairman of Gihon and a plethora of other cyclists were also present.

Elkin's Ministry Elkin's Ministry, the Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and the Gihon Corporation all contributed to the project. The Jerusalem Development Authority completed the work.

The current works include road construction, installation of blowers as well as modern security and electrical systems in order to ensure that the tunnel is secure for pedestrians to travel through throughout the year.

The Kerem Tunnel provides access to unique recreation locations, including Ein Kerem neighbourhood, the Biblical aquarium and zoo as also the historical natural springs Ein Haniyeh, Ein Laban, and Ein Haniyeh.
