'Minecraft Dungeons' on XCloud has been Optimized for Touchscreens

Microsoft's long-awaited xCloud gaming streaming service officially launches tomorrow with more than 150 games. One of the games that will be available is Minecraft Dungeons, and Microsoft has announced that the developers Mojang Studios and Double Eleven have made it easier to play the game on the go by optimizing it for touchscreen controls. This means that you will be able to play the game on your Android phone or tablet without needing to hook up an external controller.



Pretty much all Xbox games that are part of xCloud were designed with the Xbox controller in mind, so Microsoft believes that most users will play them by clipping the controller to their smartphone. In this case, Microsoft wanted the game to feel native to mobile devices, which is why it'll feature not just touch controls, but also a new interface that is better suited for the small screen.
