Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of visitors from America. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Canada, not too far behind the United States of America, is poised to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in visitors in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) said that "it is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding." We're not too far from our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this increase in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling across the world."


Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country's official reopening to all travelers in May has seen more than 600,000.
