This is quite interesting. We're guessing that the parties responsible will not be mentioning the similarity to Lego and Minecraft in its press material and we'll have to mention it in this article. The concept behind this is simple: Blokify is an iOS app with a 3D environment that lets you build models using cubes- things like castles, spacecrafts, and pirate ships. Once you're done, you can print models at home or in the cloud through 3D Systems' Cubify service (using the company's ProJet 660PRo). The iPhone/iPad app is free, but additional kits and components are available for an in-app purchase. Professional printing will be available as well, with pricing based on the size of the set you create. The App Store link is located below. It was fun to play with, even though we aren’t ready to invest the money to make our little castle an actual reality.
