No Limit Texas Holdem Poker - A Wonderful Introduction
From a 52 card deck, the dealer deals 1-2 face down cards to each player. He also deals a face card to each of the players, known as "the door card".

After the last player acts, the dealer puts one card to the fire and then hands three cards out, known as the flop. Each player tries to make a hand using five cards. The player to the left of a button initiates the action. He can either check (pass his action), or place a bet. His minimum bet is $2 with no maximum bet. The betting continues on until the last person moves. (The button if the player is still in) If the player bets, then the next person has the option to fold, call, or raise.

To play this card game for kids, you don't need an Old Maid deck. Any 52-card deck will work. Just take out one of the Queens. Old Maid is an old matching game in which players find pairs. You trade cards until your opponent is left with the unmatched King. Kids love playing match games and the novelty Old Maid packs are great for them.

The cards are then placed face down on the table and the players begin to bet. Fixed limit betting is available (bets/raises equal to big blind) while the blinds are active, just like Holdem.
