Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This is a 13% improvement from the year before.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is exciting to witness a second rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number in 2019," he stated. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to witness this change and expect a steady upward trend for months and even years.

Canada is poised to surpass Israel's tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been immunized. Israel has already hosted over 600,000.
