Minecraft creator Mojang plans to launch a spin-off game

Minecraft maker Mojang is planning a spin-off game based on its block-building game that is a hugely popular title.
It is called Minecraft: Story Mode and will be an episodic video game that is set in the familiar Minecraft world, but introduces new characters to the setting.
Telltale Games, which has produced numerous episodic games and is now developing the game.
The first episode is scheduled to be released in 2015 for consoles PCs, consoles Macs and Android devices.
It is unclear what the game will be like. Mojang has created a brief browser-based game called Info Quest II to explain what it could be like.
Mojang announced in a blog post the game will be developed with the help of the Minecraft community.
It was designed to assure players that Story Mode is not violent and bloody as previous Telltale games. Recent Telltale games include The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands and games inspired by Game of Thrones and zombie thriller The Walking Dead.
"Telltale's game will have a similar feel in tone to Minecraft itself," said Mojang, "though it's a completely original design that is influenced by our game."
Mojang has released a new version of its Scrolls card-based magic fighting game. Shortly after, the news about Story Mode is out.
