silence, everywhere but not in my mind. I can no longer control the chaos going on there. I am in a deserted part of this world. And when I say desert, there is no one else but me and the raging sea that seems to want nothing more than to eat the huge reddish rocks, leaving behind nothing but chaos and silence. The waves of the sea hit so hard that they give me the impression that their only purpose is to erase the existence of the rocky cliffs.

The only escape from my thoughts is the cold and refreshing air of the waves because the sky doesn't seem to be friendly either. The grey colour and the massive shape of the clouds transform this corner of heaven in the middle of hell.

2:03am. This is what my cell phone clock looks like. This vacation was supposed to help me get rid of the thoughts I've been drowning in since my parents decided that family life only works, but alone here, in the middle of the desert, I'm doing nothing but staying stuck sinking deeper and deeper. My mind is frozen in a place from the past.

The tears flow down my cheeks as if competing with the rain, which seems to be the only calm around. I take a last breath of cold air, wipe my tears with a sigh and get up from the cold stone, walking back to the house that seemed cheerful and lit by the flame of the scented candles, leaving behind the hell between the waves of the sea and the storm that seems endless.
