Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over 2019.

Canada is set to surpass Israel's tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director for Canada for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was thrilling to see the Canadian tourism industry to Israel returning. "We are not far off our record-setting numbers in 2019 and we anticipate that this increase in tourism to Israel will further increase as Canadians continue to feel more confident about travelling abroad."

Israel received more tourists from all over the world during the year 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official opening for all tourists was in May of 2018. The country has already been home to more than 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
