International Creators Included Bars And Melody

Tubecon is an international community-driven YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and viewers in large-scale public events. Tubecon was first held in August 2014 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. It attracted over 5,000 people. [1] Since then Tubecon has been organized 25 times across four different countries so far (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with altogether over 120,000 attendees at all events. [2]



In recent years, Tubecon has grown significantly in popularity, as the YouTube and online influencer community has also grown. The biggest Tubecon events have attracted more than 18,000 people and featured more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.



Tubecon's program for events was developed in collaboration with local online influencers. It has a variety of program elements, including Meet & Greets and Tubecon Video Awards panels, and concerts. In 2018, Tubecon will be held in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and letters of intent have been signed in Romania, Latvia and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



Tubecon's story began when two Finnish creators set out to create a secure and enjoyable event for their viewers. [4]

2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 was held in Hartwall Arena, August 2015[5] and attracted more than 10,000 people.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held from 12-13 August 2016. The second day was sold out. The event was attended by 18,500 people. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden had its beginning on the 6th of January in Stockholm with more than 4,500 visitors. They also did an autumn tour that began on 9 September in Vasteras and concluded on the 10th of December in Kungsbacka. Around 50 YouTube creators toured 8 cities in total. More than 15,000 people attended Tubecon events in Sweden during 2016.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon was held in Germany at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen on February 20 in 2016. Additional VIP and Aftershow tickets were also available.



2017[edit]



The Finnish event was held in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted a crowd of around 17,500. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain was organized on 18 February in the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event drew more than 4,000 attendees and more than 200 Spanish creators. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. Around 2,500 people took part to the event. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon took place for the first time in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17 and 18 August. The theme for the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers took part in the event. Tubecon also hosted international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the very first Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack were some of the international creators. The event also introduced a new TubeCity concept, where various genres like gaming, beauty and fashion and food, were represented by their own blocks in the city-like event space. Tubecon introduced Tube Academy, a new educational track that was open to creators and anyone interested in getting more knowledge about video production and the business. [12]
