Mojang Reassures Minecraft Fans about Microsoft Deal

Mojang reassures Minecraft fans about Microsoft deal

The boss of Minecraft-maker Mojang has reassured fans worried about what's going to take place when Microsoft assumes control.

In September, in the middle of September, Microsoft announced a $2.5bn (PS1.5bn), deal to purchase Mojang.

However, Vu Bui Chief Operating Officer of Mojang said there was no plan to change the game or how people could do with it.

Feedback from players would still be vital in helping develop the game, he said.

"Nothing's going to change," stated Mr Bui. "We don't have any plans to change our ways and, of course I can't talk about the issue and I don't know everything, but we're still here, and the game's still there and it's business like usual."

Open view

Mojang said that he's always tried to keep alive the enthusiasm that made the game so popular.

"Maintaining the original culture is quite a challenge," he said. "It's an ideal culture that values the community and allows it to play how they want with the game and to make it their own.

"It is the goal, as it has always been, to keep doing this," he said to the BBC during an interview with the BBC interview at London's Olympia exhibition center in which he was delivering a keynote address at the Brand Licensing Europe trade fair.

Although Mr. Bui acknowledged that the deal was not yet in the process, he said Mojang intends to continue to work closely with its large community of players.

Many players of the block-building game have expressed concerns about what will occur once Microsoft is in ultimate control.

Minecraft inventor Markus Persson, aka Notch has written about the reasons he was approaching Microsoft and stated that He was handing it over since it had become an unnecessary burden to run.

He wrote, "I can't take responsibility for something like this," shortly after details of the deal were disclosed.

He said, "It's about my sanity. Beago.xyz It's not about money." "It's about my sanity."

Mr. Bui stated that there will definitely be some changes in the coming years however, these will be made with the input, feedback and comments of fans.

The current system, which lets Minecraft developers reveal what they are working on before they add it to the game, would continue.

He added, "We don't keep our secrets about our features."

This openness would also operate during the time Mojang began to reveal the new titles that developers were working on, even although the studio wasn't yet ready to talk specifics, he said.

Mojang will allow players to test early versions of the game and assist the developers in improving it Bui said. Bui said.

A similar approach was used with Minecraft, and Mojang was keen to repeat the process since it was proved to be beneficial for developers when they worked on an idea.

It wasn't about trying to duplicate the success of Minecraft to create another title that was equally popular. Bui said that it was more about trust in the overall plan.

He stated, "We believe that model." "Regardless of your art form people should definitely invest their time and energy in what they believe in regardless of whether it is successful.

He said, "That's a noble endeavor."

The same way, he added, Mojang believed that it was a mistake trying to manage or influence the Minecraft community and dictate what can and cannot be done with the game.

Better, he added was to simply move out of the way.

Mr Bui stated that people are the most creative when they are allowed to express themselves in the way they want. While you need to give them some guidelines, they will be able to come with more innovative ideas than we can.
