Technoblade is a YouTuber from Minecraft, has died at the age of 23. His family posted an emotional video of his funeral on his behalf.

The video, titled "so long geeks" and posted to his 10 million followers, showed his father calling him "the most amazing kid anyone could wish for".

The US internet star became famous for streaming live and sharing videos of him playing the sandbox videogame.

Last year, Technoblade revealed to fans he had been diagnosed with cancer.

The farewell message, which was written hours before his death and read by his father, began: "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. This is what you should be seeing. I am dead."

He went on to reveal that his real name was in fact Alex recalling the time he tricked viewers into thinking his name was Dave.

"Thank you all for supporting my work throughout the years," he continued. "If I had another hundred years to live I'm pretty sure I'd prefer to be Technoblade again every single time since those were the most enjoyable years of my life."

The online star, who won Minecraft tournaments and legions of fans chatting about his life in a humorous manner during the game explained in a fundraising video posted in February that he been through chemotherapy, radiation therapy and a limb-salvage operation after a painful tumor was discovered in his right arm.

He died from sarcoma which is an uncommon soft tissue and bone cancer.

He announced his diagnosis of cancer in August 2021, explaining that he initially believed that the pain he felt was a result of an injury from repetitive stress due to playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer after his arm began to swell.

It is not known much about Technoblade who kept his real identity a secret until the end. But his online avatar was a photograph of the crown-crowned porker.

His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio says: "I play too many video games. While I'm not the most skilled, I have hot elbows.

Ludwig Ahgren added, "I've been watching Technoblade's shows for more than an hour." "He was so witty and humble even in the most difficult of times. He will always be a role model for me."

Quackity also expressed his appreciation online by writing: "I had to have the opportunity to express my admiration for Technoblade not just for his immense impact on the world as well as his amazing humour, even in the darkest hours." I will miss him very deeply."

Jake Lucky, an eSports player, added "May you rest and be at peace."

Technoblade's father thanked fans in the video of his farewell, noting: "You meant a lot to him."

He explained that a portion of proceeds from online orders for his late son's merchandise will now be donated to charities.

The video concluded with a statement written by his family. It stated: "We, Technoblade, wanted to let you know how much he loved and respected his colleagues and his fans."

Technoblade was active since the beginning of his career. He was always seeking ways to please and reward his followers. He gave away prizes online, encouraged good sportsmanship, and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughter and entertainment.

"Even after his eventual triumphs, he managed to maintain his charming humility, while competing with a charming balance of confidence and self-deprecating humor."

Minecraft lets players create their own virtual world by digging holes and collecting blocks.

Recent updates of the game have been utilized to help children explore and improve their skills and knowledge in the field of careers and also to find solutions to real-world problems like flooding.

Ted Nevison described Technoblade as being "effortlessly hilarious" and "endlessly talented". "Gone too soon," he said.

Bad Boy Halo also paid their respects, saying: "Words cannot express how much you will miss. The lives you touched and the impact you made on their lives will be cherished forever.

Slimecicle stated that Technoblade's "personality and sense of humor and ability to communicate clearly were an inspiration to Technoblade and many others."
