Crytek, a company known for its stunning graphics in first person shooters, has joined with DeNA to join The Collectables' free-to-play mobile gaming area.
The Collectables uses a modified Crytek engine. It provides what you would expect from a Crytek-powered game "intense combat, intense gunfights and 3D battlefields. Classic, larger-than-life heroes are also included to provide gamers an unbeatable mobile gaming experience." Those who pre-order the game will receive access to a game character equipped with a special limited-time gear.
The Collectables will not be available until 2014. DeNA and Crytek hope to have it available sometime in 2014.
Crytek and DeNA to Bring Blockbuster Action to Mobile Gamers by launching The Collectables
San Francisco (USA) / Frankfurt am Main (Germany) 11 December 2013 - Crytek is partnering with the world's leading mobile games company DeNA to create its first free-to-play mobile game called The Collectables.
Available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices via DeNA's mobile games platform Mobage, The Collectables boasts stunning graphics built on Crytek's CRYENGINE technology. The game is a mix of combat and strategy as players lead a team of unconventional soldiers on do-or-die missions around the world.

The Collectables features over-the-top gunfights as well as classic action heroes. Players can create an army of different soldiers, and then upgrade their weapons and skills to fight. With a variety of enemies to fight, game-changing rewards to unlock and immersive 3D battlefields to conquer, The Collectables will keep players coming back to the frontline when it's released in 2014.
The players who preregister for The Collectables will be notified when the game is released for free download, and they will receive an exclusive version of the game's character RELOAD equipped with limited-edition equipment.
