Neve ParitzkiJerusalem's first cycle tunnel has been open in Israel

The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique riding experience and hiking experience which is enjoyed by everyone.
The Kerem Tunnel, Israel's newest bicycle tunnel, has been constructed as a part of the 42-kilometer cycle route which circles the capital.

The tunnel links Nahal Refaim with Emek Motza. It is located in southern Israel within Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the nearest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.

The 2.1-kilometer-long tunnel was officially inaugurated by Jerusalem's Heritage Minister Zeev Elkin. The ceremony was also attended by Mayor Moshelion, Avi Balehnikov, Gihon Water Company chairman, and hundreds of cyclists.

Jerusalem was once a tourist attraction because of its rich history. Elkin stated that, today, apart from its historic treasures, it also incorporates modern tourists. I would like to invite cyclists to enjoy a safe and modernized route that will take you through Old Jerusalem.

Elkin's Ministry and the Tourism Ministry budgeted the project.

"The Kerem Tunnel project is an essential tool to realize the goal to alter the notion of transportation across Jerusalem," Elkin stressed.
