Victorian era, Victorian era, British history, the period that started approximately during 1820-1914 just 18 year`s earlier from were Queen Victoria was crowned; corresponding roughly but not exactly to the period of Queen Victoria`s riegn (1837-1901) and characterized by a class-based society, which a growing number of people able to vote, a growing state or economy, and Britain`s status as a powerfull empire in the world; controlling countries like Canada, Australia, India, Ireland etc. During the Victorian period, Britain was a powerfull nation with a rich culture. It had a stable goverment, a growing state and expanding franchise. Britain controlled the largest empire in the world, way bigger than the Mongol or Russian empire. During Britains Victorian Era, the British population more then doubled and kept growing its wealth and population overtime. Soon the Victorian era has been extincted. After the Victorian era was gone, the British empire followed on next during world war 2 when Britian had gained independance to all the aproximate 13 countries, but still holding record of the largest, most wealthy empire in history
