Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers come from the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for arrivals of tourists in Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% over 2019.


"It is so exciting to witness a new increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019" stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Actually, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entry each month. It's a fantastic positive change that we are pleased to witness and anticipate an increase in the many months to follow."

In line with in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed the number of tourists visiting Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

"It is exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far from our record for 2019 and we are anticipating that the growth in travels to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more confident traveling abroad."

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. נווה פריצקי In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they're immunized. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
