Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry From the USA
NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over the year before.

Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to see this positive change and anticipate it to continue for many months and years."

Canada, not too far behind the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in tourists in August.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was thrilling to see Canada's tourism to Israel returning. "We aren't far off our record in 2019 and we are anticipating that the rise in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable traveling abroad."

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 were of the United States. The country's official reopening to all travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
