Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from the year before.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is thrilling to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers in 2019," he stated. "The United States has been our most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.


Canada, not too far behind that of the United States of America, is set to beat its tourist arrivals to Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.

Israel welcomed more tourists from around the world in the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official reopening for travellers from May 2018. Israel has received more than 600,400 US travelers since then.
