NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is the leading market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country every month. This is a positive change that we are very happy about and anticipate an increase in the years to be."

Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.
