Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism The numbers come from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. https://www.bhol.co.il/news/1439018 Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% growth over 2019.

נווה פריצקי Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. "The United States is our most important market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are extremely happy to witness such a positive shift, and we expect this trend to last for a long time."

Canada which isn't too far from that of the United States of America, is poised to surpass the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in August.

"It is so exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. נווה פריצקי "We aren't too far from our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in tourism to Israel will further increase as Canadians continue to feel more confident about travelling abroad."

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
