NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6lwMSJfGow The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is the leading market for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record breaking numbers of tourism entry month after month. This is a positive shift that we are very happy about and anticipate an increase in the years to come."
In line with in the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
"It is so exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are getting close to our record 2019 numbers. We anticipate that this trend will continue as Canadians travel more abroad.
