Technoblade, 'Minecraft' YouTube Creator, Dies Aged 23

Technoblade the top Minecraft YouTuber, has passed away aged 23 following a battle with cancer.

Technoblade, the creator's father posted a touching video to YouTube on Thursday entitled "so long geeks". It included an e-mail from Technoblade. The video had been planned with his family members during his final months, but it was written by Technoblade about eight hours before his death, his father said. In the message the rapper revealed his real name: Alex.



"Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. He wrote, "I am dead," in the text that was read by his father. "Thank you all for supporting my content over the years. I believe Technoblade would be my preferred choice if I had another hundred lives. Those were the most joyful years of my life.



His father told the video that he was "the most beautiful child anyone could ever wish for." Technoblade is my absolute favorite.



Technoblade, who has 10.8 millions YouTube subscribers, shared his August 2021 cancer diagnosis to them on YouTube.



Technoblade's family released an apology at the end of the video on Thursday.



"We we, the Technoblade family wanted to let you know how much he loved and respected his colleagues and his fans." Technoblade was an online community from its beginnings. He was always seeking ways to please and reward his followers," it said.



"Even after his successes however, he maintained his good-natured humility. He was a consummate competitor with a delightful balance of his confidence and self-deprecating with. He avoided personal fame and made every effort to keep his real identity private. We request that you respect his wishes to protect his privacy as well as the privacy of his family."



Technoblade's online shop also includes a message of appreciation that states that a portion of online purchases will be donated to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Technoblade's family will manage this store online. We're aware of the joy he has brought to the world over the years and we want to ensure we continue spreading his message," it reads.



The store's store is now a black T-shirt for sale with the words "so long nerds," followed by "Alexander Technoblade"" and "1999-2022" underneath.



Technoblade's friends and fans have posted more deeply touching tributes to him on the internet. Some are co-creators and collaborators and others have been watching the YouTuber for years.



Hypixel, a Minecraft server for minigames, also uploaded an eloquent tribute. He was a frequent player on that server. In a statement, the founder and CEO Simon Collins-Laflamme described Technoblade as "one of the most globally adored YouTubers."



The post said, "He will be remembered in a way, but we will miss him deeply." "He was a kind, talented, passionate young man with extraordinary potential. We are truly grateful to him and grateful to have had him be such a prominent part of the greater community. Technoblade's success is in many ways linked to our success.



Technoblade's family was also urged to pay homage to "any mainlobby" on the server.
