Minecraft is a wonderfully multi-faceted sandbox, but perhaps one of its most intriguing applications is in the field of education. And now, the Minecraft: Education Edition mobile version is set to help many more teachers around the world, since it's "available to everyone" in an open beta.

This Minecraft version is intended to teach a variety of subjects which include STEM subjects math, as well as other STEM subjects. The Minecraft: Education Edition PC version has been out for a fair while now but has never been released on iOS and Android outside of a select few lucky people.

Well, those with mobiles will be happy to know that the beta for Minecraft Education Edition is now available on the device they're likely using to read this article. You can find more information about how to download the correct version by clicking here.

The beta version of Minecraft includes important additions that regular Minecraft players consider to be standard, such as an increased world's height as well as new cave generation options, higher mountains and a bigger world. This is all from the Caves and Cliffs part 2 update, which is it's been a long time ago, given that we're all playing The Wild now.

You can now learn at your own pace!
