NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022, an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is thrilling to witness a second rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of 2019," he stated. "The United States has been the most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, we had record number of Israeli tourism entries each month.
Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's so exciting to witness how tourism in Canada is recovering." We're not too far from our record 2019 numbers and we expect that this growth in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling internationally."
Israel received more tourists from all over the world in the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were American. Israel's official reopening to all travelers was May 2018. Israel has been home to more than 600,400 US travelers since then.
