Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Counts from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over the year before.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record-breaking figures of tourist entry month after month. It's a fantastic positive trend that we're pleased to witness and anticipate an upward trajectory for years to follow."

Not far behind the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourism numbers in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

"It is so exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far off our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this growth in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians remain confident about traveling abroad."


Israel welcomed more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, of which 969,600 were from the United States. Since May that year, when Israel reopened to all travelers, regardless of their vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
