Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry From the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6lwMSJfGow This is a four% increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. https://www.news1.co.il/ShowArticles.aspx?docId=156564&subjectId=26&ShowAll=True This is 13% more than 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He said, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already exceeding or even surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019". "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We're thrilled to witness this positive change and anticipate a steady upward trajectory for years and months to be."

Canada which isn't too far behind the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 visitors in August.

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May when the country was is now open to all tourists regardless of vaccination status More than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
