Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry From the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% from 2019.


Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is thrilling to once again witness an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record numbers of Israel's tourism entry every month.

Canada, not too far from the United States of America, is poised to surpass its tourist arrivals to Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in visitors in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May of this year Israel has witnessed more than 600,400 US tourists.
