People hold a vigil last month in the Indian city of Amritsar for murdered Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala
Indian police have arrested three men suspected of murdering Sidhu Mowla who was a hip-hop icon. They also confiscated a stash of weaponry, including a grenade launcher from the suspects.
Moose Wala, also known as Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was last month shot to death in his car in the northern state Punjab.
The 28-year old was a popular singer in India as well as among Punjabi communities all over the world especially in Canada and Britain.

Special police commissioner H.S. Dhaliwal told reporters in Delhi on Monday that three suspects were arrested in the western part of Gujarat over the weekend.
Police recovered explosive grenades that explode high-explosive, a rocket launcher, an assault rifle, and electronic detonators from the suspects.
Local media reports suggested that Canadian-based gangster Goldy Brar had claimed responsibility for the murder of the rapper and was in touch with the hitmen in the early hours of the murder.
"Brar called one of the shooters on the day of the incident and instructed him to ensure that the murder of Moose Wala," the Hindustan Times newspaper quoted a police officer as saying.
"If guns fail to work, kill him in a blast, was his order," the officer told the newspaper.
Moose Wala became famous for his catchy songs, which attacked political opponents and rappers. He portrayed himself as a man who fought to protect the pride of his community and delivered justice, as well as killed enemies.
He was criticized for promoting gun culture through his music videos, in which he regularly shot with guns.
His death also brought to light organised crime in Punjab which is a major route for drugs that enter India via Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Many observers link the narcotics trade - predominantly heroin and opium- to an uptick in gang-related violence as well as the use of weapons that are illegal in the state.
