Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. נווה פריצקי That's 13% increase over 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States is the leading market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record breaking figures of tourist entry each month. This is a positive change that we are happy to see and we expect an upward trend for years to follow."

Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August saw 6,000.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May has seen more than 600,000.
