Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers come from the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for arrivals of tourists to Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019 he stated. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers every month. We're so happy to see an improvement in the trend and expect a continued increase in the coming months and years to come."

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country's official opening to any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May of this year Israel has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
