NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is thrilling to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. נווה פריצקי Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019," he stated. "The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking figures of tourist entry month after month. נווה פריצקי This is a positive change that we are happy to see and we anticipate an increase in the months to follow."
Not far behind in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourism numbers in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,000 in August.
Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) declared that "it is thrilling to observe how Canada's travel to Israel is booming." "We are getting close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We believe that this trend will continue to grow as Canadians travel more abroad.
Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country's official reopening to all travelers in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
