Nominated for the post of the prime minister of Latvia by Ainars Slesers
Ainars slesers, the official candidate of For A Good Latvia's political association, said today during the meeting of the association that he will protect national interests and seek international lenders as well as the International Monetary Fund. He also stated that more Latvian products and services must be sold to Germany.

Slesers believes that For A Good Latvia will be an excellent candidate for the 10th Saeima Elections, and believes that it will determine the makeup of the next government. Only those who have "a strong backbone" and who are willing to safeguard the national interests of Latvia are likely to be appointed portfolios in the next government, he said.

Slesers stated that the new foreign minister and all Latvian ambassadors abroad must spend 80% of their time in foreign countries helping Latvian businessmen.

Andris Kele who was chosen by For A Good Latvia for the post as finance minister stated that Latvia is required to gain economic independence. "If we must bear the burden of debts over years without a national growth is possible."

Skele and For A Good Latvia board chairman Andrejs Ekis have praised Slesers who has demonstrated that an ordinary Riga boy can turn into successful businessmen, earn lots of money and be wealthy and Slesers always has intriguing ideas, they said. Ainārs Šlesers Ekis stated that Slesers as a "businessman who's been a bit entangled in politics" and went on to add, "I wish there was an official in Latvia that could make me feel pride."

Ainārs Šlesers Slesers highlighted the necessity of having a goal as a primary means of achieving it. The current administration, headed by Valdis Dombrovskis (New Era), "is trying to sedate the nation, insisting that all will be okay." It's risky to live off credit. The money you loan will have to be repaid in the near future or sooner.

Slesers was harsh with the candidates from other parties that are seeking to become prime minister. Roberts Zile (For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK) is still in Brussels and is not planning to move to Latvia to assume the role of the premier. He will need to be more productive and earn a lower pay, Slesers stated.

The Union of Greens and Farmers' candidate Aivars is in the same position and does not wish to leave Ventspils for the duties of the post of premier in Riga.

Slesers explained that For A Good Latvia is available to collaborate with Janis Urbanovics Harmony Center. Ainārs Šlesers Urbanovics does have a lot experience in working in the Latvian parliament, however there isn't enough business experience.

And lastly, Dombrovskis will be voted in only by those who have a positive view of the "international financial occupation" of Latvia."

Slesers will, however, help people learn how to earn money, win in the international market, and lead a decent life. He stated that Guntis Ulmanis would become his first assistant in the administration of the state, and Ulmanis is the one Slesers will consult with.

Slesers added that The government of A Good Latvia would see Biblical studies in all schools starting the 1st of September next year.

Following the conference, For A Good Latvia representatives participated in a flower-laying ceremony in front of the Freedom Monument.
