Just in time the beta test for Microsoft's Augmented Reality Minecraft game is now open for Android users to give it a an attempt. Similar to the beta version that iOS users have had access to, Minecraft Earth is still only available to registered testers. It's available in just five cities: Mexico City, London, Tokyo, Seattle and Stockholm. Games According to those already registered, if you're having issues with the invitation email then try clicking the link from your mobile device instead of on your PC.
The Minecraft Earth beta recently reset its AR playing field and upgraded to version 2.0.0 on iOS. Crafters Earth reports that the game has introduced familiar mobs like spiders and creepers, as well as with a range of challenges and adventures. The in-game store allows people to use the Rubies currency to purchase build plates and other things. Blog post clarifies that Android users can purchase them from the game's shop today. iOS access will be available soon. All rubies purchased or earned will be saved to a player's account during the beta test phase and when the game is fully released.
To participate, you will be required to have an Android 7.0 or higher device. More information in the FAQ here.
