Ainars Slesers has been nominated as Latvia's new prime minister.

According to Slesers's prediction, portfolios in the new government will only be granted to such people who have "strong backbone" and are willing to protect Latvia's national interests.

Slesers stated that the new foreign minister as well as all Latvian ambassadors abroad should commit the majority of their time supporting Latvian businessmen's interests abroad.

Andris Kele, who was chosen by For A Good Latvia for the post of finance minister, stated that Latvia is required to gain economic independence. "If we must carry the burden of debt over years without a national growth is possible."

Skele and For A Good Latvia board chair Andrejs Ekis both praised Slesers for his accomplishments. They both said that Slesers has demonstrated that an Riga boy can become a successful businessman, make many dollars and also be wealthy. Slesers also has captivating ideas. Ekis said Slesers as a "businessman who's strayed into politics," and went on say, "I wish there was a leader in Latvia that would make me feel pride."

Slesers added that mission was a top method to achieve a goal. Slesers expressed his displeasure with other political parties' nominees to be prime minister.
