My son turned 9 on the day I posted this! NINE!! !



A Minecraft Party was requested. It is easy to find other people's ideas and then create one. This is why I designed this board. Sunny By Design had many great things. Here's a tribute to Minecraft Party..



Creeper juice. These tiny Chubby drinks. Paper torn off and faces put on.



Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have done a red dip on the ends melting chocolate, but time got away from me. The slime balls were meant to be green jello squares. However, they were left behind in my fridge. The zombie boogies were actually wasabi peas!



Sorry for the blurry image. I started making little TNT bundles but decided to not, and placed them in glass instead. My favorite part of the event was when I said," there are still plenty of vegetables and fruits left. I'm going to put them in your bag of loot even if you don't consume the fruits and vegetables now. There was a loud woosh to the table and food was being consumed. :



The cake was actually an actual brownie. I wanted to leave the edges un-iced , and I thought the brownie would be less chewy. Fluffy Boiled Frosting was the frosting. It wasn't sweet in any way. We made way too much for this cake, so I made meringue puffs and put them in the oven. Those were also left at home.



Here's something I learned To make meringue, beat your egg whites. turn the oven on to 350 degrees and then add them to the oven, then turn off the oven, and let cool down. It's that simple.



Signs and grass leaves were taken from Sizzix dies. The old ones, the large honkin' ones. It can be done with the cuttlebug with a B plate at the bottom and top. Don't use the A plate a to begin with. To let loose some party spirit, we rented the local arena.



We go to the general skating once a week. The boy has made a lot of progress in the last few weeks. He even looks like a skater now!

Loot bag time!



And the loot inside. I don't like loot bags with a lot of little things. So I gave hand made creeper cookies that took 2 days and a trip to the local bakery to freeze (Thanks Flying Fox), a CD of Minecraft Parodies. I found the title on YouTube and gave it to my husband for him to create his own magic. Also, a few other snacks.



It's over with the birthday celebration! (paper characters)



It was a great time!



Edited May 8: Wow, you are probably in a reading frenzy for minecraft party ideas.What we wouldn't do for our kids. This blog has had more than 10,000 hits to date. That's a lot of hits in my world.
