With all the updates, versions, builds, and mods It's hard to believe how far Minecraft has made its way. Although the full game was released in 2011 it's been available in Early Access since 2009. It's easy to forget just how much has come and gone over the course of that time even if you've never played it since it first hit the world. This trailer offers a fantastic glimpse into all that has changed over the years.
This is a fan-created recreation of the original Minecraft trailer. Redditor RedAdventurer11 posted an updated version of Mojang's first big trailer. It's fun to watch particularly when compared to its predecessor. CUBEPACK88 It follows the same pattern as the official however, it showcases all of the latest features and biomes that have been added to the game over the last decade.

Frankly, it does a better job of selling the game just because of the amount of new content that has been added. RedAdventurer11 made it a goal to show the major updates in the correct order as LennyTheSpider noted. The segment starts around 58 seconds and shows the ice spikes starting from 1.7 and ocean monuments from 1.8, city fights that end at 1.9, and so on.
It's a wonderful small detail that can really help to create a sense progression and time into the video itself. It's also not something that RedAdventurer11 expected people to take note of - but the Minecraft community never ceases to be awe-inspiring. The new trailer is a wonderful bit of nostalgia, and it's hard not to smile watching it.
