You may be concerned about the dangers from RF EMF, but there are ways to safeguard yourself. Wearing clothing that is made of EMR shielding fabric can shield your body from harmful radiation. Such fabrics are often made of a silver-colored fabric embedded in fine mesh. When rays from wireless signals like a cell phone or WI-FI signal hit this material, they cause the electrons inside it to bounce, or echo, within the material. One of these textiles, known as the Wavestopper(tm) fabric, has been shown to block 99% of harmful radiofrequency radiation.
RF EMF can cause heat to organic matter
RF EMF is a powerful source of energy that can cause organic matter to heat up. It accomplishes this by changing the water molecules' polarization. This heat can result in superficial and deep cataracts, burns, and general hyperthermia. Although these symptoms may not be as obvious as the typical EHS symptoms but they are nonetheless grave. Fortunately, the levels of exposure needed to trigger these symptoms are not as significant as the effects of high-level radiation to EMF.
An RF antenna measuring 25 feet in length was installed at 620 ft deep. During the course of 40 hours, RF heat the borehole's temperature was raised to 220 F. This study highlighted the possibility of RF heating as a useful technique for heating the formation. In a later study, Bottazzi et al. (2013) studied the benefits of electrical heating in the downhole conditions.
Both methods can be utilized to warm organic matter. The first method involves placing a material in a high-frequency electromagnetic field. The second method involves placing an object within the field of an inductor. The electromagnetic field generates electric currents within the substance, which then heat the object. The amount of heat produced is determined by the resistance of the material to the flow of the currents and the length of exposure.
While the effects on biological systems of RF EMF aren't conclusive, studies have revealed the possibility of a link between exposure to EMF from RF in conjunction with EHS symptoms. This connection requires further research to understand if EMF exposure can cause EHS. It has been shown that leukemia in children is linked with residential proximity to electric lines.
RF EMR is comprised of two elements - electric and magnetic. These two components combine to produce an electromagnetic field with various degrees of strength. The intensity of the field can be measured using specific units. For emf blocking gear , the electric field strength is measured as volts per square meter. Field strength of magnetic fields can be measured in milliwatts per square centimeter and the combined electromagnetic field strength is measured in power density.
The non-ionizing type of EMF has an lower frequency, meaning it is unable to be able to break chemical bonds. In contrast, ionizing radiation can cause chemical bonds to break and cause oxidative damage to the body. Furthermore, it could cause skin cancers and changes in some individuals. Consequently, high levels of exposure can result in long-term health problems.
The research that shows how exposure to RF EMF can cause EHS isn't extensive. There are however many other studies that prove this connection to RF EMF and the process of oxidative stress. Although it's unclear how long EMF exposure could cause cell damage, it's important to understand what is happening within the body to prevent this issue. It could even affect organ function.
The heating effect of EMF from RF is caused by the polarity of the substances. If the RF energy flows through a polar compound that has atomic nuclei, electrons inside the nuclei are displace from their equilibrium position. In the process, the electrons surrounding the nuclei transform into dipoles inducing. The dipole realignment happens thousands of times per second. As a result there is friction between the moving molecules and heat is generated across the entire surface of the material.
While RF radiation isn't thought to directly harm DNA, it may cause heat to build up in tissues of the body, which could lead to burning or damage to tissue. Contrary to ionizing radiation RF radiation isn't believed to cause cancer. However, some studies show an increase in tumors in laboratory animals exposed to RF radiation.
There are many federal agencies that are involved in managing and monitoring the consequences on the body of RF radiation on the human body. This includes those of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. They track RF exposure to ensure that it is safe for workers. They also urge employees to limit their exposure if they are working in high-frequency RF environments.
