I'd like to begin right away by telling you about me. I spent over 10 years in the casino business in Las Vegas. I was a boxman, floorman and pit boss over this time. I've been to every game at the casino and every system player there is. It is easy to identify system players. They don't seem to be having as much enjoyment as recreational gamblers. They take their job seriously and take their work seriously. They are also meticulous about their work. They may even attempt to conceal or cover up the activities they're engaged in so the house doesn't catch on. That's hilarious. visit our website because the house enjoys playing games on systems. Why? because no system can beat the casino games. There are ways to play wisely and keep ahead of the game but that is not so much a strategy as it is a method and discipline. We'll get to this later. Let me now go over each of the three games that are most played, blackjack, craps and roulette.
Blackjack is the one game in which you have the ability to make decisions about your playing. This includes betting as well as the actual game. You decide whether to hit or stand or split or double down, etc... This gives you some control over the outcome in the game. Blackjack is a game where the primary advantage that the dealer enjoys over the player is that the player has the chance to blow out his hand (go beyond 21) first. The dealer doesn't have to play a hand when all players have busted their hands. This is a significant advantage. The only blackjack system worth mentioning here is, of course, counting cards. Card counting allows the player to keep track of the number of cards have been dealt and, in a more precise manner it is the total number of cards in the deck. When there are lots of tens in the deck, and there are fewer (maybe less than half the deck) cards left and the deck is considered to be wealthy. This is a great perk for the player particularly if there are a lot of Aces. A rich deck increases the chance of getting a blackjack. The player can also count to see how many cards are left and decide to play the hand accordingly. It's not a bad strategy. This could probably give the player an advantage or maybe at least level the playing field. Actually, it can! If you're playing either a single or double deck game, and you are more than halfway through the deck and you are aware the deck is rich and you are betting more, you will increase the amount you are betting as the odds swing slightly to your advantage. To not be forgotten, the chance of a dealer winning a blackjack has also increased. When I first learned about card counting, it was thrilling. Here was a chance to win some serious cash. It made a lot of sense, and in theory, counting cards is the only method that can give you an advantage. So, why aren't there many players out there making money on blackjack using card counting? The answer is easy. Counters who count cards are simple to recognize. Basically, every floorperson and pit boss should be competent at counting cards. They can tell if the deck is high or low, and then adjust their bets according to the situation. If a counter to a card is discovered, there are three options for the house to take. It is preferential to ignore the situation and continue playing and seeing what transpires. They can also inform the player that will not be allowed to play in their casino. Yes, they do have that right according to the gaming commission's rules. They may also instruct the dealer to play one or two hands and then shuffle. This would negate any counter advantage. This is the way I dealt with counters while I was playing in the pits. I recall one instance when I noticed an attractive young lady walk into the arena and she appeared to be very deliberate and serious. I was immediately compelled to observe her play. I was exhausted from trying to hide! check it out was actually the only player in the game, and I saw. She increased her stake instantly when the deck was rich. I leaned over to the dealer and smiled and instructed her to shake the deck. It was hilarious. It was so funny that the player actually shouted "Hey!" I just did a smile and left, instructing the dealer to draw two hands and then shuffle. Needless to say, the player went on a different trip with her money, and likely experienced the same scenario to her wherever she went. Counting is an overrated activity. Management of money is the only way to be successful in a casino.
Let's take a look at roulette systems. It is a ridiculous game, so I won't take too long. It is impossible of knowing what will happen to the little white ball on the roulette wheel. I've seen players rummaging over their notepads, writing down God knows what, thinking that this will help them to predict what they will hit next. The wheel doesn't spin at the same rate. The dealer does not make the ball spin at the exact same speed or in the exact same spot each time. This is all random. The dealer will gently remove the ball from the wheel, and then give it a small push to continue turning. This is why the ball is not always at a constant rate of rotation. And to think that the balls position can be influenced by the preceding spin is pure folly. Let's look at, for example, the case when five hits twice in a row. What do you think the odds of 5 coming up on the very next spin will be? My dear friend The odds are 37-1 for the 5 coming up again. The odds of any number that hits at any time is always 37 - 1 regardless of what happened during the preceding spin(s). Most players aren't aware of this. You don't even get paid 37-1 when you do hit a number. You get paid 35 -1 ! You're already beaten! Roulette is the only game with a chance of beating. Yes, cool games to play could get lucky and win on the game but that is just luck. The system cannot assure a successful session. It's just random. It is as Einstein stated, "The only way to beat a game of roulette is to rob the game." He is right. Do not pay anyone who claims they're trying offer you a system of roulette. These are frauds in every way.
Okay, we have dealt with blackjack and roulette. Now we have to take on craps. Craps is a complex game that offers a myriad of betting options. I am not going to go into any betting systems as that is not exactly what I am trying to dispel here. I am concerned about the player who believes or even tries to sell the notion that he has control over how the dice roll. This type of player sets the dice in a particular manner, roll them in the same way, and then claim that he or she can control how the dice fall. Do I really need to say more? A craps table measures about 8-10 feet longand has an extremely hard surface beneath the felt layout. It's a surface that bounces and bounces the dice at totally random speed and angles. It is impossible to have this level of control in the real world. It's not even possible for the most skilled magicians in Vegas to do it. Have you ever seen anyone attempt to do it?" But no.
I'd like to conclude that the only legitimate method I've seen is one that minimizes loss and increases winnings. It's a financial management system that actually takes an enormous amount of discipline to apply. This system can be applied to any other sport other than poker. I have actually witnessed players who use this method to stay ahead, every day. However, it is a money management strategy, but not an entire method. I'll discuss that in my next post.
