a. Chaser bertugas memburu bola quaffle. Chaser harus menjawab soal matematika (perkalian) yang diberikan Quaffle agar berhasil memegang bola itu. Jika ingin memasukkan bola ke Quaffle ke gawang lawan, ia harus suit dengan keeper tim lawan di dm Quaffle.
b. Beater bertugas menghentikan chaser lawan. Mereka akan memperebutkan bola bludger yang fungsinya untuk menghentikan serangan chaser lawan kepada teamnya atau mencegah terjadinya goal. Caranya dengan saling melemparkan tebakan tentang Satwa Gaib pada beater tim lawan. Namun untuk menentukan giliran, mereka harus suit di dm Bludger.
c. Keeper bertugas menjaga gawang dari bola quaffle dengan cara menebak pilihan yang diberikan Quaffle/chaser lawan. Posisi ini mengandalkan keburuntungan dan feeling.
d. Seeker bertugas seeker pertama adalah menjadi captain. Selain sebagai captain, seeker memecahkan clue yang diberikan (berupa teka-teki) agar timnya menang. Ia harus bisa memecahkan clue yang diberikan sebelum seeker lawan menjawab.
