Alder Lake processor, dedicated graphic card, and IPS display make the Samsung Galaxy Book2 15 look great on the spec sheet. The laptop is disappointing in many ways. The review revealed that Intel's new Arc A350M GPU was less performant than the display.
The Samsung Galaxy Book2 15.6-inch all-rounder is ideal for multimedia and homework. A dedicated Intel Arc A350M graphic card promises a better gaming experience than an integrated graphics processor. It boasts excellent specs, including an Alder Lake P series processor, 16GB RAM, and a 1080p display. The Galaxy Book2 was disappointing, especially considering its 1,300 Euro ($1,300) price.
Although the Galaxy Book2's chassis looks fantastic, it could be more sturdy and has a low-quality build. During day-to-day usage, we were particularly bothered by loud creaking sounds made by both the base and lid. There are a variety of ports on the laptop, including USB-C and USB-A. They don't support Thunderbolt or USB 4 and are slow with the card reader. The device has a second M.2 SSD slot but doesn't support PCIe 4.0. It takes some time to get used to the keyboard's short travel distance. We found the keyboard's lack of backlighting to be annoying.
Poor image quality on the IPS panel is the first problem. At first glance, this IPS panel has poor image quality. Colors appear dull and overall images look very washed out. It also has high color deviation and only covers 75% of the sRGB color space. This panel might be acceptable for a budget laptop, but its image quality is not worth 1,300 euros (1,300 USD).
This laptop is not designed to be a high-performance machine. A U-series processor would have been better due to the power limitations.


Only the new Intel Arc A350M graphics cards can deliver outstanding performance in synthetic benchmarks.

In actual gaming tests, the Nvidia GeForce MX550 rival is faster than the card. Sometimes, even the integrated AMD Radeon 680M performs better. There needs to be more than the overall package and loud fans.

The Intel Core i7-11600H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX3050Ti Max-Q graphics power it. Who can order the model with 32GB RAM or 1TB SSD storage? The laptop has two stereo speakers with 2W each and Dolby Atmos support. It also includes a Pro keyboard and Numeric keys.
