To Survive in The World

You can make an attempt to survive in a hostile world and create all sorts of objects and build a massive pink woolly castle simply because you want to it.

Minecraft has two modes, Creative and Survival. Creative is the mode in which you can have unlimited amounts of each block, which you can use however you want, Survival challenges you to find the resources yourself in an attempts to defeat the monsters that emerge at night in the Minecraft world. To survive in this world, you could craft anything from swords to minecarts as well as jukeboxes and bread. this is where the main problem with Minecraft comes in.

It's difficult to get completely immersed in a game that requires you to continuously browse the internet for recipes to make. Minecraft Servers There is no guide in the game. Another issue is the recent implication of potions and enchantments. They seem very unprofessional and seem to work inconsistently and are relatively pointless. The way Minecraft worked until full release was that it received regular updates for free that added new features, frequently as suggested by players. I am concerned that, after the release of the complete game the updates will be "expansion packs" which are only available through payment. A majority of these updates haven't been worth the price and it's unlikely that they will cause the game to be less enjoyable. The game's conclusion is a further issue. It's not planned and the difficulty level is quite high at the moment.

But, even if you don't consider these aspects to the game, there are plenty of positive aspects to this game. One is the game's graphics. This means that the majority of computers can easily apply textures and allows for customizing. This can be seen in the plethora of texture packs and mods available for the game. This is a problem because mods can't be used in-game. It is necessary for players to be able to use technical skills to use them.

It must of course be mentioned that there is an option for multiplayer in this game through the ability to join friends servers ( a program for which can be downloaded from Minecraft's website) and craft, mine and build with your friends. The only way to join a server is to directly enter the IP address, and even though the game will save the server it is still a bit frustrating that you are unable to find a list of available servers for you to join. Certain aspects of the single player game don't work in multiplayer which is extremely frustrating for people who want to explore Minecraft's full potential with other players.

To conclude, Minecraft is a great game with quaint graphics and addicting gameplay but the numerous flaws it has left make me think it possibly should have remained in beta for a little longer to work out the kinks, and to adjust some of the features in the game. With these issues in mind, I'm giving Minecraft 7 out of 10. I hope this review won't be not as relevant in a few months due to any changes.
