Additional: RuneScape Versions and Spin-Offs

With more than 250 million accounts registered with multiple spin-off games, a collection of books, and a very committed fanbase, RuneScape is the world's largest MMORPG and arguably one of the most played online games ever. Learn how to play RuneScape from your desktop or mobile device.

This article refers to the current version of RuneScape which is also known as RuneScape 3.

How to Play RuneScape

RuneScape allows players to interact with each other through a point-and-click game. It is set in a world of fantasy called Gielinor. Everything is up to the players, and they are able to decide what they do. Each player has the power to decide their own fate and may decide to do what they like and choose to improve their skills, fight monsters, partake in an adventure or play a mini-game or socialize with others.

RuneScape Combat Modes

RuneScape has two combat mechanics: Legacy or Regular (commonly called EoC, or Evolution of Combat).

Regular Mode (EoC).

The Regular (EoC) fighting style offers players a variety of abilities to utilize depending on the different weapons armors, items, and weapons they can choose from. Other factors that affect EoC include the player's fight style (Melee, Range or Magic) and the level they have obtained in a particular ability, the number of quests the player has completed, and more. EoC mode has been compared to other games like Blizzard's MMORPG World of Warcraft.

In EoC mode, the Adrenaline bar appears as a player makes use of their different abilities. Certain abilities, however, can only be used when the Adrenaline meter is at a certain level and drain the meter by a significant amount after being used. The player has to refill their Adrenaline meters and wait for a cooldown before they are able to use the same skill.

Legacy Mode

Legacy mode is the original combat system that the game was initially built around. EoC is not equipped with abilities, Adrenaline or any other combat settings. While your character can attack automatically, you can also use special weapons and items.

These abilities are available in both combat modes and are linked to specific items. A good example is the Saradomin Godsword and its Healing Blade ability. This ability can be utilized with the sword to cause much more damage and heal the player's health points and prayer points.

Training Your Skills

Players develop their skills in RuneScape through training. Different abilities require different methods of training however, they all follow a similar method: perform something to gain experience, gain levels and improve your abilities.

Woodcutting is a great alternative. You'll gain experience while you cut down trees. As you advance in level, you'll be able to chop down larger and larger trees. Larger trees will give you more experience, and speed up levels, which can lead to new trees to chop down. You can't stop the cycle until you reach level 99 in the skill (or 120 for Dungeoneering).

Skills Types and Categories

Five kinds of skills are available to RuneScape players. Calistomebel Each skill type follows the same basic principles of training for the specific skill type.

Combat Skills Categories include Attack, Defence and Strength, Strength, Constitution, Prayer and Magic, Ranged, summoning, and constitution.

Artisan Skills The categories include Cooking and Crafting Constructions, Runecrafting. Fletching, Herblore. Smithing. Artisan skills use tools from other areas to master. One example of this is Firemaking, in which you would use the logs obtained from Woodcutting to gain experience while you burn them.

Gathering Skills The categories include Divination, Mining, Woodcutting and Hunter, Farming, and Fishing. These skills can be learned in a similar. The player travels to an area to look for resources. When a resource item is acquired, they gain experience and the item will be available for purchase.

Support Skills Categories include thieving Slayer, Dungeoneering and Dungeoneering and Agility. Thieving can be used to make money. Agility allows players to take shortcuts and run longer distances. Slayer gives you more options to defeat monsters. Dungeoneering lets players train their skills, unlock weapons and other benefits.

Elite Skills There is only one Elite Skill in RuneScape: Invention. To be able to master Invention, you must attain at least level 80 in Smithing Crafting or Divination. This skill allows players to break down objects and acquire materials to gain experience and develop new items.

Questing in RuneScape

While most quests are geared towards one objective, some provide an entertaining tale in which the protagonist or main goal of the quest. Most quests end with a significant boost in experience and an item.

Socializing

Dozens of RuneScape communities exist on Discord and other VoIP services. YouTube's RuneScape communities have been flourishing for a long time. DeviantART's RuneScape communities as well as Tumblr's RuneScape art community have been around for as long as the game.

Other versions and spin-offs of RuneScape

Many players wanted to experience RuneScape in its glory days without use of private servers, which is why Jagex came up with what is known as Old School RuneScape. Old School RuneScape lets players play the RuneScape game in 2007 by turning on the time machine. Jagex continues to add more content to it, allowing the players to determine what content they can and cannot play. the game.

RuneScape Classic is the least played version of RuneScape. This version is RuneScape in one of its early stages. The game utilizes 2D graphics, and is difficult to identify. While some players still love this particular version of the game, very few people play it.

RuneScape has seen a number of spin-off games over the years. Armies of Gielinor, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, RuneScape: Idle Adventures are just some.
