7 Minecraft Treehouse Ideas for your Next Build IGN

Treehouses in Minecraft offer a great method of incorporating unique and cool designs into your home. We have ideas and tips for anyone, whether you're just beginning or an expert in Minecraft.

This list is primarily focused on treehouses. But if you want to see more types of houses, we have 8 Best House Minecraft Ideas to help you start!

Minecraft Treehouses

As you scroll through our top treehouse design ideas, there are two things you need to think about:

- To determine the size of your treehouse, it'll depend if you're working on your primary hub or an expansion of an existing structure. You can also choose to use natural trees or artificially constructed trees depending on the type of biome you select.

We've compiled a list with the top Minecraft treehouse ideas, ranging from simple starter homes to more elaborate designs and even challenging constructions.

1. Simple Treehouse

If you're having trouble building a Minecraft treehouse, it is best to start simple. MINECRAFT SERVERS Attach the small, four-walled home to a tree with an appropriate height. If it's actually suspended from the tree or just on the ground adjacent, it doesn't really matter!

You can grow both up and out, and even artificially increasing the size of the tree as you progress through the game. This is a great way to begin if you're new to Minecraft and building this type of home.

2. Jungle Treehouse

In the biome with the highest trees, it makes sense to take advantage of the property and build a shack high in the sky. The abundance of tall trees and hanging vines provide an easy method of interconnecting various small structures.

The vines that can be found on many Jungle biomes trees act as natural ladders. You can also place them on leaves around the tree to create a natural cover/camouflage.

It can be enjoyable and simple if you're playing in a multiplayer game. Each house creates an Ewok-style beautiful village.

3. Leaf House

Can't quite get your house to look right by clinging to the side of an oak tree? Instead of trying to squeeze your home into a box and then place the home's base in the leaves of a tree. You can create a sphere of foliage by using Shears to collect leaves from nearby trees.

While this might limit your range of decoration and space, it can prove to be the most effective method to make your home blend into the surrounding.

Tip Tips: Change your graphic settings from Fast to Fancy to ensure that the leaves no longer appear translucent. This will make any buildup underneath the leaves completely unnoticeable.

4. A Literal Tree House

If you want to go to the next level of bizarre and unique, drop the search for the perfect tree and instead make your own. Although it's not the most efficient way in terms of resource usage, it can be an exciting project to construct and make sure that it mimics the appearance and shape of a tree, though slightly bigger and wider than its counterparts.

5. Nether Tree House

The Nether has been gaining forests in recent times which means you can make use of this new leafy land to build a house high above the depths below. Utilizing blocks that are exclusive to the Nether, like Crimson Blocks and Netherrack can make your home feel more at ease with the surrounding environment, but it also could mean you lose the structure as it blends in more and more.

Minecraft Nether Tree House

There are numerous threats in the Nether. If you have enough Obsidian, it might be logical to build your home (or at least the outer shell) with it. So, any Ghast fireballs that stray near your structure damage will be drastically reduced.

6. Tree Root House

Want to get a little unconventional? Head underground with some Stripped Logs, and construct out some tree roots. You can hang a home using the roots that are on the ceiling of a cave.

Add some Pointed Dripstone, Spore Blossom and Glow Lichen to give it a a natural, overgrown look and your home's underground oasis will be complete.

7. Bonus: Build a Tree House to support every kind of Tree

If you're feeling brave, you can also challenge yourself to make an entire tree house for each Minecraft tree type in the game. We're talking about all of them; Oak, Spruce, Birch, Dark Oak and Jungle!
