Minecraft streamer and content creator Technoblade has died following an extended battle with stage 4 cancer, his family announced today in a statement to the public and video.
Techno previously revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer last August. He had been updating his community on his condition as he continued to receive treatment and creating content on YouTube.
Techno's father, Techno, narrates a final posthumous message titled "so long geeks" that was written specifically for the occasion. It was filled to the fullest with the creator's trademark dry and often dark humor, but also serves as one final 'thank you' to everyone who has supported the Minecraft star throughout his career.
"Thank you for your support of my content throughout the years. If I had another 100 years of life, I think I would choose to be Technoblade each time. Techno said that those were the most joyful years of my life.
"I hope you enjoyed my writing and that I was able to make some of you laugh. I wish you all on to live long, prosperous, and happy lives because I love you all. Technoblade out."
Techno, who reveals himself to be Alex Techno, discusses how the money he made from the sale of merchandise and other "sell-out" pushes over the last year has been used to send his children off to college. minecraft news He also thanks his viewers for letting him share these happy moments with them. His father, who was present for Techno's final message, explains that he had originally planned to make and write the video before his death. However, Techno's declining health and other issues prevented him from doing so. His father said that he wrote the message while in bed and died around eight hours later.
