The first four episodes of Minecraft: Story Mode came out in quick intervals, offering players a well-crafted story prior to Christmas. But with one episode remaining the game's creator Telltale suddenly went quiet about when the story was going to conclude. Today we have an announcement date however it's not what we were expecting. Episode 5 will premiere on March 29th, followed by three more episodes later in the year. The episodes are referred to as "additional adventures" and won't be included in the season pass. You'll need to pay more if you need the complete story.
"We're not going into detail regarding the content yet however we can say that they'll be great, and may have a slightly different flavour to the previous season," Mojang's Owen Hill explained in an article on the blog. If you're keeping up with Minecraft: Story Mode, you'll know why the team may be interested in creating more episodes. The world undergoes a significant shift towards the end of episode 4, paving the way for a whole new batch of adventures for Jesse and the Order of the Stone.
