Instinctual Variant's History History Of Instinctual Variant
The Enneagram's Instinctual Variant

If you're considering taking the Enneagram test, you'll want to consider a subtype called the Instinctual Variant. This subtype is connected to your self-preservation needs. This type is also known by Type Six, Type Five and Type Eight. Learn more about this subtype here.

Self-preservation subtype

The self-preservation subtype of instinct is focused on basic survival needs. This type is concerned with shelter, money security, health, and safety. They may also be concerned about food and comfort. This type of person is also likely to be concerned with the cleanliness and comfort of a space. They are usually the first ones to notice issues in the room.

Self-preservation is the most dominant instinctual impulse. This drive of survival can be perceived as a threat and an affront to security when it conflicts with other instinctual drives. This can lead people to have misperceptions about one's character and the need to seek counseling and therapy. The self-preservation subtype sees that a partner is an essential element to maintain security, and therefore experiences anxiety when they fail to find one.

Instinctual types are distinguished by a range of behavior. Self-preservation is linked to vigilance and protectiveness, as well as aggression. These actions are geared towards preserving self and the group. They are also linked to achievements of the group and the hierarchy.

Social instinctive types are those who are seeking status and social belonging. These people have had a positive experience in their childhood and are more likely to seek group membership. They are also more likely to consider charitable donations. They also are more likely to be annoyed by people who make themselves comfortable by discussing food or home decor.

Your subtype is essential because it can help you develop. Your subtype can assist you in reaching your full potential.

Type Eight

The Type Eight instinctual variant combines the passion for life and the desire for material security. This kind of personality is very effective in protecting their family members and friends. They are also competitive and decisive, with a lot of energy and an intense appetite. They are evident in their physical appearance and are never afraid to assert themselves. In addition, they are practical and hard-headed, with the desire to dominate other people.

This instinctual type of personality combines lust and sexual instinct to create a charismatic persona. An Eight with this combination tends to possess a lot of material possessions, which makes them difficult to shed. socionics is what makes them more inclined to engage in political activities. Although they tend to be less aggressive than other subtypes but they are equally likely to oppose an individual leader.

Another instinctual variant of the Type Eight is a self-pre/sexual Eight. enneagram are motivated to "hook" people and tend to be suspicious of others. This makes it difficult to control their impulses, which can result in unhealthy relationships. Eights may be a bit possessive, jealous, or addicted to their partners in these relationships. These actions can lead to abuse of the spouse.

A Type Eight is more expressive and compassionate than a typical two in this instinctual version. The eight still cares about being loved, but it seeks love in the same way that an integrated two does, which is by caring for others. This is the instinctual version of an incredibly caring and strong individual who loves to express their feelings in tangible ways.

Type Five

Type Five is the opposite of Type Four and is extremely emotional. It connects to its emotional world through artistic expression, and relates to others through thoughts. It seeks ultimate knowledge about truth, meaning and meaning. This instinctual type is linked to certain subtypes of the Enneagram, but this stacking could also be used separately.

Type Eight is connected to the Passion of Lust. It is driven by a desire to experience the moment to the fullest and often applies force to satisfy its Dominant Instinct needs. The self-centered Eights are usually too focused on their own autonomy. This instinctive way of thinking can make you be a feeling of being isolated and resentful.

Type Twos project their needs onto others. enneagram are usually seeking approval and affection from others. However, their neediness hinders them from making deep relationships. Even though they are a classic service provider, they are highly self-conscious of their image. They are less trusting and less afraid than other subtypes.

The Sexual One's inclination is to pursue a beloved or preferred. When they were children, they were told that they were beautiful and desirable. Their parents encouraged them to believe that they could be attractive to a potential partner. They believed that to attract the right partner, one needed be physically and sexually active.

The self-pres/social-stacking type is similar in many ways to the self-pres/self-pres subtype. This includes the need to maintain the cleanliness of their surroundings. They also seek to attract one and are concerned with their sexuality. They may also have conflicting alliances with certain groups or have an opinion on political or social issues.

Type Six

Every type of Enneagram is an instinctual variant. Instinctual subtypes can be determined by the type’s driving emotional energy. They explain why individuals in a type might be different. Each type is identified by three different instinctual variations. Each of these subtypes differs from the base type in a variety of ways.

Type Six is marked by an intense self-reflection. This is a strong instinct that seeks to be secure in relationships. They are attracted to the security of close-knit relationships and appreciate tradition and family. They can be contradictory, but the subtype has faith and the ability to trust the world.

The Intimate Six is often in conflict with the Self-preservation Six. They are prone to jealousy and both male and female traits. Intimate Sixes might seek sexual partners of opposite sexes. They may also wish to impress their partners by appearing confident and strong. They may even focus on aesthetics.

The Sexual Six is the least visible of the Six subtypes. However, it is the most fearsome. These individuals have strong fears of being abandoned, and their fear of rejection will make them build many relationships. They also display warmth and tenderness. They also radiate peace, but their real emotions are driven by the fear of losing security. The SP Six feels the need for "good" and avoid alienating others.

The Sexual Sixes are often against perceived danger. They can appear to be risk-takers, rebels or troublemakers. They could even exhibit hero-complexes.

Type Seven

The Type Seven instinctual variant is marked by intense energy and extremes in behavior and material success. The self-pres instinct of this subtype is the final one, making them successful but also reckless and dependent. They need immediate feedback and an opportunity to process their feelings. They may require some time to process the feedback and may need help from others in order to achieve their goals.

The Eight instinctual variant is slightly less sluggish than the social/self preservation subtype. While still exhibiting traits of self-preservation, this type is more focused on group dynamics. They are also highly talkative and charismatic. They can be mistaken for Sevens and sometimes manipulate and con people through their interpersonal skills.

The Sexual Seven has a strong sense of humor, and it's not surprising to see many comedic characters from this genre. Their sexuality is not unusual but they don't think about having sex. Instead they are more interested in the ideal relationship they imagine with someone. While this can be amusement, this tendancy could make intimacy feel risky for those in Sevens.

The self-pres/sexual subtype has a lot of characteristics in common with other types, but it's distinct. The Seven seeks to be involved in everything, yet they can get annoyed when life gets boring. It can also be frustrating when people reject them. This subtype is also more intense and could entertain dark nihilistic ideas.

In the end, Sevens can easily become too dependent on their romantic partners. They may end up becoming clingy but they do not want to lose their independence. Sevens are extremely selfish when they are in unhealthy relationships. Their relationships are often dependent on their own requirements.
